This was the first film I made as a student at the University of Mississippi. It wasn't for a class, I just decided that it was time to make a short film, so with the help of my cohort we embarked to make "A Girl Called Tuesday". It only took about 24 hours to shoot the movie across two weekends, however there was a lot of work to be done throughout the weeks leading up to the shoot and in between the weekends. I set out to build my first ever film set, the first thing I'd ever actually built for this project. Over about two weeks and spending almost $1,000 (my entire summer's earnings) the cave set was built in my living room. I had to build sturdy walls, bring in rocks, props, and stylize the set with paint, rips and mirrors. It was a lot of work, but it paid off in the end. Then I had to completely undo the set and clean up the house to shoot the half of the movie which didn't take place in the cave. All in all, the main thing I learned making this film is that film takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Although I questioned whether I should commit to this project in restless nights leading up to building the set, I decided that I should just make it happen and that's what I ended up doing.
